This is What Happened wHen I Played Pokemon Go On a first Date

Pokemon Go has shaken the world into a frenzy, and is touted to get people out and about on the streets. But I wonder if it could go further than that - it can bring two people together?
Could the type of activity that helps potential lovers unite under their attempts to capture Zubat? There is only one way to find out.

That's why I decided to make The PokeDate.

The PokeDate goal is to find a man I never dated before (or meet) and try to get to know one another while also playing Pokemon Go.

It's not just about catching or two Oddish. I also want to try some new dating scenario because, frankly, dinner or a drink now bores me to tears.

I want to really get to know people really, not drunk a shot and made a bad choice. At age 29, I'm done with the same old date and the same old kind of man. I want someone who is new, refreshing, and I want to have FUN.

I suspect it would be very difficult to find a half decent man I want to hang out with who also wish to 1) along with i 2) seen in public playing Pokemon Go 3) accept I will write about him. I am wrong. Enter Ben.

I've been friends with Ben on Facebook for a while - we exchanged numbers ages ago and I think we've had one phone call and Whatsapp chat occasionally but other than that, no. We have never met at all before so this is a real Pokemon Go first date in central London. The location chosen to fulfill - Soho Square. Let the games begin.

So there we were, some forty something grown adults discuss how to catch a Pokemon, or a Pokestop wtf is. I do not even know how to get all the balls from Pokestop, and he had to show! Either he's secretly a big fan of the game or I'm an idiot. Maybe both?

Given the nature of the dates I think there may be points a little awkward, but I was surprised at how relaxed it from the get go.

I also suspect he would pretend not bother with Pokemon Go but really just a drink and a chat and try to get me to forget the game altogether. No, not Ben. He is more active than I am. She even went to a group of girls who also play and ask them that they have been caught - I was crying with laughter.

It was ridiculously fun, I do not laugh a lot to date in the year and I am 100% happy to see him again. I find that it is much easier to open up about themselves and have a conversation more interesting than I normally would on a first date. As we have a game to fall back on it never felt awkward.

I suggest dates Pokemon Go to someone else? Definitely. If you can not laugh with each other at the beginning, then really what is the point?

A PokeDate also gives you the opportunity to do something different. You end up walking to places you would not have found before, outside in the sun and fresh air.

Plus, I could see his personality so much better than I would have sitting over a candlelit dinner. Sure, romantic Reviews These meals are nice but watching him wander up to strangers or saying stuff like 'you right, get in my Pokeballs' or trying to catch real-life pigeons ... well it Gives You a much more rounded picture does not it!

Besides, if he's a bit of an Oddish himself (first dates, are always a worry), you can just entertain yourself with the game instead.
